The North Carolina Museum of Art is opening an exhibit of 75 works by many of the most significant contemporary African-American artists of the last three decades. The exhibit is titled "30 Americans" and opened Saturday at the museum in Raleigh. The 75 works come from the Rubell Family Collection of Miami, an internationally known collection of contemporary art. The exhibit features both established and emerging artists, including Jean-Michel Basquiat and David Hammons.
Tickets are required for the exhibit, which closes Sept. 4. Tickets range in price from $10 for adults to free for children ages 6 and under.
